a diary of traces #9

"After the opera's over,
Attending the ladies is done,
We gems of the very first water
Commence with our frolic and fun."

Sung by George Leybourne, one of music hall's best lion comiques. He often sported whiskers in the style known as 'Piccadilly Weepers'.
